Getting the Birds Ready
As the weekend draws closer — yes, it’s only Monday — I’m getting back into the routine of preparing the birds for the race. The birds are looking really good this year, and I’ve got a good feeling about the weekend.
The weather looks good for the week leading up to the race with only a 30-40% shot of rain on Wednesday/Thursday.
The new website is just about fully converted and if you’d like a link on the right, just go ahead and send me an email. I’ve also forwarded guido@pigeonempire.com to my standard email if you need to get a hold of me.
The new website is set up with WordPress, so I should be able to post a few thoughts and pictures every once and a while without too much trouble.
Speaking of which, here’s a blast from the past:
A Few Shots of the Lofts
Took the camera out to the lofts this morning before the downpour and managed to grab a few choice photos of the lofts. I haven’t taken photos of the lofts in a couple years, so it might be worth a look.
Also built a command centre under the big Maple in the back.
Hello Friends!
With my first race in almost a month just around the corner, it seemed like the perfect time for a full blown makeover of pigeonempire.com.
This set-up should allow me to post pictures and short notes on the racing season a bit easier, and I look forward to sharing my experiences with everyone.
Excuse the mess while I tidy up and migrate all of the old files over to the new setup.
Thanks,
-Guido
